# Birthday Wisher

We started building Birthday Wisher in 2021

**Development Context**: Birthday Wisher was created as the fifth software in the series of organic marketing tools. The motivation behind this tool was to facilitate an easy way to initiate conversations with people on a user's Facebook friends list, using birthday wishes as a conversation starter.

**Primary Use**:

* Reaching out to people on Facebook 7 days before their birthday to inquire about their plans.
* Wishing them on their actual birthday and offering a free software as a birthday gift.
* Following up 7 days after their birthday to check on how it went and confirm if they received the present.

**Features of Birthday Wisher**:

1. **Creating Birthday Posts**:
   * Multiple birthday posts can be created with or without images.
   * Options for Male, Female, or Neutral (gender not mentioned) profiles.
2. **Creating Message Segments**:
   * Users can create message segments and message groups for sending birthday messages.
3. **Adding Images for FB Posts**:
   * Both static and dynamic images can be added. Dynamic images can include the user's profile name (using services like Nifty Images).
4. **Schedule**:
   * Users can schedule the time for sending messages or creating posts with options for time delay and specific UTC times.
5. **Birthday Wisher Options**:
   * Make a post on a friend's timeline, send a randomized message from a message group, and gender-based post/message options.
6. **Advance Birthday Wisher**:
   * Users can send messages in advance (up to 7 days) with options for selecting days and message groups.
7. **Follow-up Birthday Wisher**:
   * Follow-up messages can be sent after the birthday (up to 7 days) with options for selecting follow-up days and message groups.

**Plans Available in Birthday Wisher**:

1. Plan 1: Happy birthday messages or posts for birthdays on the current day.
2. Plan 2: Adding images to posts and messages.
3. Plan 3: Advance birthday wishes (up to 7 days) - messages only.
4. Plan 4: Follow-up birthday wishes (up to 7 days back) - messages only.
5. Plan 5: Gender-based birthday messages for the current day's birthdays.

This comprehensive approach not only streamlines the process of sending birthday wishes but also strategically leverages these interactions for organic marketing and relationship building on Facebook.
